Hello,
This is an update on the DebConf19 budget since the last version that
was approved by the DPL last February.
In the income section, confirmed and expected sponsors were updated. We
are taking now a more pessimistic approach with regard to expected
sponsors: only a single new gold sponsor is being assumed (because we
are in conversation with them). We will still looking for new sponsors,
and every new sponsor will be happily welcome, but budget-wise we will
assume that what we got so far is what we should get.
A summary of the most relevant changes to the expenses section:
- Bump travel bursaries from 60k to 75.5k USD (pre-approved by the DPL)
- Bump video team budget from 4.5k to 6.8k USD (pre-approved by the DPL)
- catering costs down by ~ 4.5k USD (we overestimated it initially)
- accommodation costs down by ~ 5k USD (ditto)
- several other items followed this pattern due to the reduction of
expected attendees
- most relevant new expenses added:
- non-disposable drinking cups: ~ 1.5k USD
- incidentals during the conference: 1k USD
- transport of meal reiumbursements for preparation and plannig work
of local team: ~ 600 USD
We are in the positive by ~7k USD.

summary below doesn't.
