Well, unless we separate room&board to the outside, e.g. we charge
20 € for room, 15 € for food (20 € for food without a room) and
don't try to create the illusion that people will actually pay for
exactly what they think they're paying.

Are you suggesting people always pay for the whole week, not
per-day?
Because if we allow them to pay per-day (which makes sense IMHO),
then having the semi-artifical separation as sketched above is
pretty much like offering a half-category as you suggest, with the
added benefit that there'll be people who might not pay for any food
in advance because they know they will be eating out a lot.
