Patty,
Just doing some ballpark numbers, I'd be shocked if the bags are of
high enough/cost value to have this qualify as a Gold level
sponsorship.
However that said, I think it might be ok, to have them on the bags.
Largely the question now is whether our existing Gold and Platinum
sponsors would be ok with this change. I'm guessing they would, since
we never promised them logo placement on bags, but I feel the safe
thing to do would be to ask them.
I'd phrase the request something like:
"Subject: Exciting new benefit for Gold and Platinum DebConf13 sponsors
A sponsor has offered to provide themed conference bags, which would
feature the logos of all Gold and Platinum sponsors, in addition to
their own.
Unless there are any issues with this we will be accepting this offer
on XYZ date. Please let us know before then if you have any issues
with us accepting this offer.
Thank you again for your generous sponsorship!"
Thanks,
Brian
