Hi Daniel,

I don't think it's useful to have such a complicated formula.
And another thing: DebConf attendees should book their train tickets
from Europe early and directly to Yverdon and not just to the border,
as there are huge discounts available:

An example:
Wien - Yverdon-les-Bains
one-way EUR 39 'Sparschiene Schweiz'
vs 143,40 EUR full fare

We need to provide a list of such cheap options on the wiki.
In this case only the 2x39 EUR should be refunded, unless the fare is
no longer available.

IMO the formula for travel sponsorship should be: min(cheapest fare
available, fare booked)
