[Debconf-team] Meeting with president (Feb 18 update)
Hey,
I was supposed to meet up with president of Republika Srpska last
Saturday, this meeting was cancelled and was rescheduled for Thursday
(17th).
Besides president, person that was also present on this meeting was a
new Minister of Science and Technology. New because, there were
elections in the meantime, Prime Minister is now President, and old
Minister of Science and Technology was a replaced by a new one.
Regardless, main points of our meeting were Venue and Accommodation.
Briefly, we were promised these things before, and President
reconfirmed that we're still getting these things and that there's not
doubt about it. If this is what we need, and this is what we were
promised this is what we're getting. So as originally planned during
this whole time, it remains that way. We're getting Banski Dvori (Bans
Palace) as venue, and we're getting Hotel Bosnia, today I also looked
at other hotels we have listed, because I believe we might need
another hotel. I'll discuss this further in detail with local team.
I'm closely working with new minister on realization of this idea and
he's personally planning to make final reservation of these places
today (Friday).
Nevertheless, now that we have this settled, our next step is to
release our sponsorship brochure to the global and local market (same
brochure, same prices) and pursue potential sponsors. Also, what I
would like to (*finally*) get solved by next meeting which is on
Tuesday 22nd is the website header. Current header is hideous
(http://debconf11.debconf.org/) and on last meeting (8th) we had
people offering help with this, however we're still in the same
position regarding this question. Therefor if you can help us with
this, please do so.
