I'd have thought that most people will be able to get the hang of "It's
the weekend, so you get an extra X minutes in bed"

Also, the days we're talking about are presumably Debian Day, and the
last day of the conference.  Debian Day seems like a good plan, as it's
supposed to be for the public, so expecting them to get up early on a
Sunday might be an error.  On the last day, if people are confused, well
they get to sip coffee for a little while.

The only down-side I can see is that people might be confused into
missing the first talk on Monday, although I doubt that most people will
form a habit from just one day.  We can always make an announcement,
reminding people they need to be a bit earlier for the weekdays.

Starting later on Debian Day would also be kinder for some people,
depending on the state of their jet-lag (although it'll inflict some
extra boredom on those that have been wide awake since 3a.m.)
