[ please Cc:-me on replies ] Dear DebConf team, my understanding of the sponsoring situation is that as of now queue A has been fully sponsored and queue B has been sponsored at 70%; people in the queues have been informed of that. It is also my understanding that you are hoping to sponsor also the remaining 30% of queue B, but that would most likely not be announced before the conference. Please correct me if I'm wrong. The obvious problem with that is that some people might decide not to attend, not having the upfront guarantee that they will be fully reimbursed (I'm thinking about students, for instance). Would it help if Debian guarantees to cover up for the remaining queue B sponsoring, in case not enough money will be available in the end? I would appreciate if you can mail people guaranteeing the remaining 30% and I'm available to mitigate the budget fears :-) As always, thanks for your work!
