[Debconf-team] And we're back with Quito's bid for DC11!

Hello,

Just in time for the end of the year, I'm pleased to announce Quito
remains alive and ready for hosting DC11 in 2011!

What has changed since last year? Besides the fact we'll need to review
and use future-telling abilities to sketch a draft budget for 2011 (yes,
we're quite obsessed with that), the local team has physically settled
in the country, connectivity offers have improved a lot with int'l
competition (e.g., Telmex) and the community has arranged lots of events
this year, with int'l speakers and all including marathonic country-wide
technical events held by the local Ubuntu chapter (which are in the LT)

At this point I'd like you to point you to the bid page in the Wiki:

  http://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/DebConf11/Quito

which we reviewed, removed anything non-valid for DC11 (i.e., city
support hasn't been validated because elections were held) and added new
information, mainly for the local team. We'll be working in the next two
days polishing any details, mainly in the connectivity information, but
the proposal remains valid everywhere else.

As always, I'm open to any questions you may have.

Yours,
Jose
