I think there's a disagreement on numbers here, nothing too important,
but anyway:
* Are you suggesting a city, a town, a village, a spa in the
middle of nowhere?
o Quito is the capital of Ecuador, and more than two and a
half million people live in the city.
* How many people live there?
o About 1.8 million people in metropolitan areas, 1.3
million in Quito City
