Re: Some thoughts we gathered about debconf...
[this goes with Cc: to the Comas development list, I think at least
two other people will be interested]

It shows up at least twice a week on my laptop - I hope it will show
up on many other computers soon ;-)
I was on quite a long (and sometimes upsetting - I quit two jobs in
one month!) pseudo[VAC] just next to a real [VAC] - I have been unable
to do much work on this system. I decided not to push to iron out the
few remaining details and get it to Sarge, as it would be somewhat
irresponsible as it has not been widely tested... But expect it in Sid
soon, we have simple points pending in order to mark a release, and
the Debian packaging work is mostly done.

Ok, that's not contemplated, but should not be much of a hassle to
add. I do not think it will become a core (official) part of the
program, but it seems quite easy to add.

Yes. Right now we can track how many people are subscribed to a
specific talk, and a human must pay attention to it and move it to a
different room. Now... I do not think this will be very feasible given
Debconf's spirit - Many people are theoretically interested in talks,
but don't show up as they get into deep hack mode just in time for
it. And the other way around, if you get too distracted to do some
serious hacking, you can just go hear a talk and hang on IRC
meanwhile.
...But yes, it can be implemented. An alerting system can also be
implemented to take an action when a room is close to getting full -
But once again, Debian people are not usually offended by having to
sit on the aisles.

Yes... We do not handle rooms in any way right now, but that is one of
the points I do want to manage. Probably this can go in together with
the food arrangement stuff (as it is about the attendees'
requirements)...

Not only that: _When_ do we want/need to get it? :) (pressure also
helps develop faster!)
