DebCamp doesn't have a few hundred people, so I suppose it could work then. Also the biggest standup meeting you were part off in Hamburg was roughly 45 people and that still worked. I agree that with more people it gets more tedious. (and btw, at the MiniDebConf in Hamburg there were 60 attendees, not 30 per initial mail of this thread :) I'm happy to talk about almost anything as long as the discussion is reasonable.
