At least for the dream of those not to be talked with, I have been
informed that at some previous debconf, at one point the nametags were
printed with "do not talk to me right now" behind them with your info in
the front or such and such, and at least that fills _some_ niche I am
sure :)

I would very much reccomend this, I wouldn't say I am experienced but
getting to know really cool and really interesting people with whom I
can talk all sorts of crap about have started from here, I maybe
specific in being someone who can talk about a lot of things, but I do
not remember a moment in the past two debconfs where I was in a room,
table, meal seating, off walking to a talk venue, in the stairs with
someone and had to sit around for conversation, its one of the best
parts of debconf for me, having people around who are amazing and nerd
about all sorts of things with me. I would name names and thank everyone
but this paragraph is way too long and would involve me listing at least
three dozen people on the mailing list.

And I would absolutely recommend just airing thoughts on IRC, I try to
maximise my time on debconf IRC when I am there as all sorts of
interesting conversation, chatter, help request has popped up, much
recommend!
Also just nametags, people usually put in fun things or informational,
*or dare I say* quirky things about themselves, their interests, or
generally something that can hint what you can stike up a conversation
with them over, would recommend, illegal dalagona coffee plot FTW.
