Please respect the environment (globally and locally in hacklab)

Hi folks,

I sat this morning before breakfast in the noisy hacklab. While I have
seen more dirty places than this before I have seen several cups from
plastic at each table. Our kind Brasilian hosts did a great job to give
us two differently sized cups to avoid wasting plastic in general. If
you really, really have no access to these cups that should be available
for you please simply please so kind to your fellow DebConf attendees
and may be more importantly to the people from the hotel who need to
clean up the room (I observed a woman patiently collecting our rubish)
and simply cleanup behind yourself. Its a matter of style to save your
"local environment" at least if you do not manage to care for the global
environment and avoid plastic in general.

For those who keep on using one time usage plastic I'd like to recommend
this movie

I wonder whether the organisers might be able to send a message into the
opposite direction: Some women from the hotel used some kind of
air-refreshment-spray containing some kind of perfume to make a "fresh"
smell. This also seems to happen in the rooms. I think opening windows
is a better means than some chemicals that might cause allergies (in my
case I had slightly burning eyes) and in the end we again have plastic
bottles thrown away after the useless chemicals are sprayed around. I
wonder whether organisers could propagate that message which even would
save personal-hours and money for the hotel.

Thank you

      Andreas.
