Talking and walking outside is fine AFAIK (unless there's a different local 
custom in Nicaragua).

I'm glad that you're okay and that the would-be-theif didn't get the phone.

Brazen smartphone thefts are apparently becoming increasing common.  :-(

replacement by reporting the phone stolen!
