I'm sure the traditional tartan-makers would be aghast at the suggestion, but are there any plans (or even any possibilities) to make a batch of this fabric in cotton, linen, or other vegetable- or synthetic-based material?
I would be quite interested in linen cloth in that tartan pattern - for another reason: linen being so much cooler (literally) to wear, and (I suspect - cannot proof) also more environmentally friendly than cotton.
In case others are interested, the white loose trousers I wore at Debconf is fishermans trousers from somewhere in Asia - pieces fit nicely in a rectangle so has close to no loss with some widths of cloth roll.
