Hi,

There is a free exhibit of B&W photography in Dodge Hall today. It is
open until 5PM, and closed on weekends, so go today if you wish.

Dodge is the long building on the north side of the long walkway in to
campus from Broadway. Enter on the north side (opposite the walkway),
and take the door on your left once inside (into the center for print
studies).

The exhibit is photos in 2009 and 2010 from a rural agricultural village
in China.

While I'm in "interesting things on campus" mode, check out the lecture hall in Havemeyer (the building that C&W was in). Go in the front door, turn right for a bit, and one of the entrances is on your left near the exhibit of chemistry memorabilia. The room is 309 IIRC.

I had read about that on the plaque on the wall on my way in to the C&W. It's a neat old century-old design.

I had tried to look around in there yesterday, but it was occupied. It was empty this morning though.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Havemeyer_Hall has a list of movies that this room has appeared in. When I walked in, I recognized it from one of them instantly, in fact. It's also a National Historic Chemical Landmark.
