Sure. You can also check it in locale (/usr/share/i18n/locale/ja_JP)

If you have japanese locale,
% LANG=ja_JP.EUC-JP date -d yyyy-mm-dd +%EC%Ey
shows name of era and year.
So, may I put "drivers license" in Photo ID Shown?
