Works the same as with CDs if you use cdrecord

I am not sure what you like to ask here...
mkisofs supports files up to 8 TB and the file content is irrelevent.
Are you interested in utf-8 support for filenames?
In any case, you need to use a halfway recent mkisofs version.
For very large files, you need to use 2.01.01a33 or later and you should read
the man page.
Check you OS installation whether you are using recent software. Otherwise get
it from:
ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/cdrecord/alpha/
