Philips DVD8801 or other Drive work wrong

Hello ,
I use Liteon 16 33 after 1693 etc and aI ve no problem whith growisofs
Now I want to use with Philips DVD8801 and it doesnt work very well ( 
crash with ide-scsi hda ..)
( .....ack=08h)
I try to use it with Pionner and I ve some warning (close session .... 
ACK=07h)

Which drive can I use to work correctly ????
My Os :
Redhat 9 (original kernel 2.4.20.8) and or Redhat 8 (original Kernel)

My hardware :
FSC TX150 or DELL poweredge PE-830
