That's weird. Does 4120B flashed to 4160B identify itself as 4120B or 4160B?
Drives identify themselves always via firmware, not via anything else. If you flash an LG 4120B to 4160B, it identifies itself as 4160B, just like an Asus drive identifies itself as Pioneer once you install a Pioneer firmware. Alexander
