cdda2wav usually does put CD-Text info into the .inf files. What are you
using as dev=...? What OS? What kernel?

e.g. on linux 2.6 cdda2wav will fail e.g. with dev=/dev/hdc but
succeed with dev=ATA:1,0,0, as it chooses cooked_ioctl for the former
and SG_IO for the latter, iirc.
