How do you have gotten this error?
I have tried to reproduce it with around 3800 packages
(using --reinstall) but you must be the real killer...
Hmmm
apt-get install *
seems not to work and
apt-get install $(grep "^Package:" \
/var/lib/apt/lists/ftp2.de.debian.org_debian_dists_sid_main_binary-i386_Packages |
sed -e 's|^Package: ||g')
give a errors about 19.000 conflicting packages or something like this.
