Very much a known problem, see #666468.  The changes after the version
in wheezy fixed it for me, but apparently not for everyone.

Consider downgrading libcairo2 to 1.10.x and putting it on hold until
the problem is resolved (might take a few years, though).

This is one of the few nouveau bugs where the kernel version is rather
irrelevant.
