Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel Version: 2:2.9.1-4 Severity: grave User: debian-bsd@lists.debian.org Usertags: kfreebsd This driver behaves unreliably on GNU/kFreeBSD. After a while of running it (usually 1 or 2 h) screen stops updating (I didn't determine whether X crashed, but disk and network activity indicate there's no kernel crash). Same version of xserver-xorg-video-intel on same hardware, running on GNU/Linux doesn't exhibit this problem. As a workaround I switched to xserver-xorg-video-vesa. I think unless this can be fixed it'd be better not to provide this driver on GNU/kFreeBSD squeeze, so that users will fallback to -vesa and at least get a working setup. Also, support for non-Linux is discontinued on later versions anyway, much regretably. Perhaps debian-bsd (CCed) can comment or provide advice on this. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: kfreebsd-amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: kFreeBSD 8.1-1-amd64 Locale: LANG=ca_AD.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ca_AD.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash
