Bug#592303: same here with Dell Latitude E5510

Hi,

I face the same problem here on a new installed Dell Latitude E5510.
Touchpa d is working but no vertical/horizontal scrolling nor tap.

What I have in Xorg.log

(II) Synaptics touchpad driver version 1.2.2
Touchpad no synaptics event device found
(**) Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
(**) Option "HorizEdgeScroll" "1"
(**) Option "VertTwoFingerScroll" "1"
(**) Option "HorizTwoFingerScroll" "1"
(**) Option "TapButton1" "1"
(**) Option "TapButton2" "2"
(**) Option "TapButton3" "3"
Query no Synaptics: 6003C8
(--) Touchpad: no supported touchpad found
(EE) Touchpad Unable to query/initialize Synaptics hardware.
(EE) PreInit failed for input device "Touchpad"
(II) UnloadModule: "synaptics"

But output of "sudo tpconfig -i" is:

Found Synaptics Touchpad.
Firmware: 8.96 (multiple-byte mode).
Sensor type: unknown (0).
Geometry: rectangular/landscape/up.
Packets: absolute, 80 packets per second.
Corner taps disabled; no tap gestures.
Edge motion: none.
Z threshold: 6 of 7.
2 button mode; corner tap is right button click.

Could be perhaps also related to bug #597082 ...
