I only tried to boot a live CD on the machine. Never tried any other
drivers or X versions. The live CD uses dexconf or whatever to configure
the X server which sets up some default refresh rates incompatible with
the LCD panel. Removing those refresh rates causes X to fall back to
something like 640x480@60 which is good enough for what I do.
