Very unlikely, as that's about a different brand of hardware.

The symptoms you describe would be very unusual with the DRI disabled.
Please double-check this.

Indeed, and you may note that it's in state 'RESOLVED FIXED'. Please try
current xf86-video-ati git.

Also note that Debian #366114 actually refers to this, and indeed it's
probably a better match for you, as it's also about an RV100 derivative.

For those interested in #354221, the same suggestions (disable the DRI
or try xf86-video-ati git) are still valid, as the same problem happened
to affect both RV100 and R300 derivatives.
