A while ago, I created full modular packaging (libraries, fonts, documentation, the server), although the server was still built from the old tree as it is very hard to get a modular server build right (and you lose GL support in the progress). If you're interested, you're welcome to all my sources. > Furthermore, I'd like to ensure that any packages I create can either > coexist with the corresponding XFree86 packages that exist now, or can > replace them entirely and the functionality be turned off in the > monolithic tree. I was going for the 'replace' angle, since all the binary packages were the same. > I'd like to get some information on how I could best work with the XSF > to package these libraries. Well, if you're interested, I could tar up all my sources and throw them over.
