This is a bug in nvidia-glx or in your own installation of the drivers
if you don't use that package.  The package didn't include TLS
versions of NVIDIA's binaries, this was no problem until a recent
glibc update -- now the TLS versions are mandatory (unless you start X
and OGL applications with LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1).

The problem is fixed in the current version of nvidia-glx in unstable.
