Ah, it didn't occur to me that it might have been a mistake.

Sorry for overreacting, then.

Can you please submit your cjk patch to the debian-x list so we can have
a look at it, though?  If it's something that can be reasonably
incorporated into the official Debian patches, it will save you the
trouble of having to maintain a forked version of xft.
