It's a leftover install from an ATI Rage Fure Pro that is now in my brother's
machine.

Each new version seems to hang a bit less. Supported? I quit checking a while
back because of nVidia's closed source drivers. The Current drivers by nVidia
were built on X 4.0.2.
(II) LoadModule: "glx"
(II) Loading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libglx.so
(II) Module glx: vendor="NVIDIA Corporation"
compiled for 4.0.2, module version = 1.0.2960
Module class: XFree86 Server Extension
ABI class: XFree86 Server Extension, version 0.1
(II) Loading extension GLX
...
(II) LoadModule: "nvidia"
(II) Loading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/nvidia_drv.o
(II) Module nvidia: vendor="NVIDIA Corporation"
compiled for 4.0.2, module version = 1.0.2960
Module class: XFree86 Video Driver
Quake 3 Arena runs very well. Unreal Tournament crashes after a variable
number of minutes and takes the mouse with it. Return to Castle Wolfenstein
takes the whole system (I haven't had a chance to try a remote reset to see
if it's just the keyboard/mouse/video in X or if it hangs the CPU). All of
these feel more like GLX problems than anything else and can probably be
tweaked out. I've been working 90+ hour weeks and just haven't had time to
dig through google though.
Thanks again for your help.
