The documentation is not up to date.  Marc La France (ATI driver author)
now uses a module/submodule arrangement.  "ati" is the module you should
reference in your config file.  It will then load the submodule it needs
(at present, r128 for Rage 128 chips, radeon for Radeons, and atimisc for
Mach32, Mach64, and Rage chips).

Yeah, but apparently it doesn't.  At least not always.
