Brazilian distro
It has an excellent Brazilian distribution based on Debian (testing) and
Knoppix and not listed at children-distros. It is aimed to desktop
machines, strongly localized in Brazilian portuguese and has excellent
support to the hardware most widely sold in Brazil, "wintrashes"
included. It's called "Kurumin Linux" and a live CD can be found in
http://www.guiadohardware.net/kurumin/index.php#download (scroll down
the page a little to see the mirrors). The project's main page is
http://www.guiadohardware.net/kurumin/. Unfortunately this site is in
portuguese only but, in the cdrom's root directory, it has instructions
to localize the distro for english language.
In time: the name "Kurumin" comes from the word "kuru'mi", what means
"boy" in Tupy (one of the South America's natives languages).
I hope to have been useful.
Best regards,
