Bug#172105: MHonArc generating deprecated HTML entities
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

retitle 172105 Please upgrade MHonArc to v2.6 or better
severity 172105 normal
thanks
Hello,
After some investigation it seems that this problem was fixed in v2.6 of
MHonArc. From <http://www.mhonarc.org/MHonArc/CHANGES>
. Some existing mappings have been updated to use Unicode numeric
character entity references (&#xHHHH;) instead of standard SGML
character entity references (eg. &Aelig;). Most, if not all,
web browsers only support the set of SGML entity references
defined in the HTML 4.0 specification.
So, it seems that the fix is to upgrade MHonArc; which probably should
be done anyway since it has much better UTF-8/i18n/l10n support. I'm
not a DD so I can't do this (and wouldn't without consulting the other
members of listarchives@d.o), Any takers?
Listarchive maintainers,
Yes, I know I'm being a bit presumptuous by resetting the severity of
this bug, please change it back if you disagree. Also, feel free to
tell me to back-off if you think I'm causing more trouble than helping
out, I recently did an `apt-get install thick-skin` :-)
