Not all translations use iso 8859-1 and we don't want to complicate
things for them when it is not needed.

Because it is part of fairplay, I can live with it. Please read
<http://www.lego.com/eng/info/fairplay.asp> which was in the original
commit message. The question now is not to use it or not -- the
question is _which_ to use. And I prefer ® over (R), what do you?

The trademark holders for Linux, Debian and GNU doesn't request this.
LEGO on the other hand likes people to write it that way, we should
respect that.
