On my machine, here are processing times for webwml/french/index.fr.html:
* Current
** WML:Verbose: main | ipp mp4h epl gm4 div asub hfix hstr slic | TOTAL
** WML:Verbose: ---- | ---- ----- ----- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- | ------
** WML:Verbose: 0.73 | 1.05 11.70 1.54 0.20 0.13 0.10 0.42 0.44 1.61 | 17.92
* With new <gettext> approach
** WML:Verbose: main | ipp mp4h epl gm4 div asub hfix hstr slic | TOTAL
** WML:Verbose: ---- | ---- ----- ----- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- | ------
** WML:Verbose: 0.73 | 0.77 7.72 1.44 0.09 0.10 0.07 0.26 0.25 0.48 | 11.91
So I will do my best to release mp4h 1.3.0 very soon. it will solve this issue.
In the meantime, we could prevent regeneration of very old events/news?
