Bug#149857: www.debian.org: searching should be improved especially for mailing lists

Package: www.debian.org
Version: N/A; reported 2002-06-13
Severity: wishlist

On http://lists.debian.org/
There is not a very good interface for searching, which is probably the
most common activity. One has to read through the indices to find a
search facility. It should be brought to the top, and marked up at the
very least.

If someone does click the indices impatiently and goes directly to the
mailing list they want to search, the user will not be able to find a
search facility there. Again, a user interface nightmare.

Maybe ask google for help ? ;)
