Bug#142908: related_links: Debian implements GNU, doesn't just take utils from
Package: www.debian.org
Version: N/A; reported 2002-04-15
Severity: minor
Howdy,
The "related links" page <http://www.debian.org/misc/related_links>
makes the following reference to the GNU operating system:
"GNU
Most of the utility programs on Debian are from the GNU project."
This gives a false impression of Debian's relationship to GNU. GNU is
an operating system project, and Debian is an implementation of the GNU
operating system (hence its full name, "Debian GNU/Linux").
This reference should be changed to something resembling the following:
"GNU
Debian is a complete implementation of the GNU operating system."
