Bug#108958: listarchives: lcs-eng is nothing but spam
Package: listarchives
Version: N/A
Severity: wishlist
The lcs-eng list has been vacant for years: the last legitimate message
appeared on Fri Oct 2 13:47:11 1998. There seems little point in
keeping it open.

I agree, but it's the listmaster scripts that deliver mail to the archives,
they should retire it.
If you'd be so kind to submit a bug report on listarchives with the dates
when the lists you noticed were dead became dead, and I'll remove the spam
archives, and then reassign the bug to lists.debian.org.
