It appears that the ldap server on bugs.debian.org is down. To help
if this happens in the future wnpp.pl has been modified to use the line:
$ldap = Net::LDAP->new($server, 'port' => $port) or die "Couldn't make connection to ldap server: $@";
I'll see if I can find someone who knows something about ldap to figure
out what is wrong with the ldap server.
