I counted 478 Makefile files. :) The joys of shell scripting.

NB I'll do a few more changes soon, to get the remaining makefiles in order.

Yes. Maybe it should test for existance of subdir/Makefile file, too... or
maybe not.

Yeah, they shouldn't be different. Including english makefile in the
translation directory could work, but I haven't tried that yet. I've seen
a swedish translation do that, but I didn't verify if it works in general.
