Package: wnpp Severity: normal I intend to orphan the wackamole package. The package description is: Wackamole is an application that helps with making a cluster highly available. It manages a bunch of virtual IPs, that should be available to the outside world at all times. Wackamole ensures that a single machine within a cluster is listening on each virtual IP address that Wackamole manages. If it discovers that particular machines within the cluster are not alive, it will almost immediately ensure that other machines acquire these public IPs. At no time will more than one machine listen on any virtual IP. Wackamole also works toward achieving a balanced distribution of number IPs on the machine within the cluster it manages. -- Kind Regards, Michael Mende http://www.failover.de/

The WNPP database contains an RFA (Request For Adoption) entry for this package. This is probably an error, as it is neither part of unstable nor experimental. Please see bug number #489313 for more information. This and the merged orphaning bug should have been closed when wackamole was removed: http://packages.qa.debian.org/w/wackamole/news/20110420T092433Z.html My bad, so closing this now. -- Neil Williams ============= http://www.linux.codehelp.co.uk/Attachment: pgpK9GlqtovI6.pgp
