Package : clamav-data

Clamav-data is a Debian package which contains a set of Clamav Virus
Databases. It is meant to be used in situations where http access is
not readily available and thus freshclam cannot be used.

Today version 20050629.043100.960 of clamav-data was accepted into
the volatile archiv. Starting soon, this package will be auto-updated
in the volatile archive as new virus patterns are available.

Please note that the clamav-data packages in debian-volatile are
auto-generated, and not reviewed by a human before they are appear in
the archive. The build scripts verify that the package installs on
sarge, etch and sid and that clamav is able to detect eicar.com and
the clamav-testfiles when the databases from the package are loaded.
However, the recommendation is to use clamav-freshclam instead of
clamav-data whenever possible.

The updated clamav-data packages are available in sarge/volatile.
