I can see that you didn't read the OP properly ;-P So does it *appear* to hang or actually hang? how long does it hang? what mirror are you using? is it the same as the other machines? try a different mirror. is this machine running the same versions as the others? can you aptitude update? IOW, despite my poking at Roberto, you're not giving us much info, or apparently trying to diagnose this much yourself... one thing you might do is move your apt cache out of the way and try again. A
