What do you have in your

    1)  /etc/hostname

            192.168.0.100   yourbox.localdomain     yourbox

    2)  /etc/hosts

            yourbox

    3)  /etc/resolv.conf

            search localdomain your.isp.tld
            nameserver 1stip.to.your.isp
            nameserver 2ndip.to.your.isp
