Have you been reading a different thread?

Maybe people spend all day defending Linux from Windows users, I don't
know, but many people seem to parse
'some OSes might have something to teach Linux' as 'your mother is a slut'.

Solaris (10 in particular) is streets ahead of Linux in many areas - system
initialisation (smf) and system-wide debugging (dtrace) spring to mind.
Since you mention security, look at Solaris zones and the awesome fine-grained
Solaris security model if you enjoy the sound of jaws hitting floors.

Last time I checked, Sun had a website you could read about Solaris on,
and download a free Intel version from. If anyones curious, I suggest
they try that.
You won't go to hell or anything.

If, on the other hand, you've decided that Linux is a perfect OS and nothing
could possibly be an improvement on it, just admit that and stop wasting
everyones time pretending to want to learn something.
