Sun used to be a maker of workstations, but for the past 15 years
has been shifting (quite emphatically) to the server market.  Now
they are about "big".  Big amounts of RAM, big amounts of CPU, big
amounts of HBAs.  And, thus, an OS that can efficiently use all
that stuff, and userland utils to manage it.
