busybox in debian

Hello, everyone,

Has anyone used the busybox in Debian? I read the introduction to the package "BusyBox" in Debian and thought it would be quite easy to use. However, I installed the package busybox, which is just BusyBox binary, and tried to run "busybox --install" in the directory where I would like to have the symlinks. Nothing happened! Even no error message! Running "busybox" without any arguments gave me a little introduction and a list of its supported functions.

I googled a lot, but found nothing related with the busybox package in Debian. I read through some articles about busybox and though making manually symbolic links might do. So I created a busybox.links file, which contains all the busybox supported functions, and wrote a simple shell script so that I don't have to create every symbolic link to busybox one by one. BUT, the symbolic functions don't function at all!

Does anyone have any experience and could help me out?

Thanks a lot!

Melly
