2.0 beta is not too much work tar xfvz the downloaded tar.gz file into something like /foo/foo/RPMS do as # alien -d *.rpm after having done cd /foo/foo/RPMS and as # dpkg -i --force-overwrite *.deb at last as # chmod 555 /opt/openoffice.org.1.9.xx/program/soffice works reasonably. allthough i doubt it is a beta. seems more an alpha. try it out for yourself groet'n steef
