If you don't mind the separations being gray-scale, look at the GIMP
2.2.

It separates the colors into gray scale of each color channel CMYK.

I have been wondering though if someone is doing some work on 6-color
separations, you know CcMmYK.

The Printing Industry just discovered that they can get even more
vibrant color... they discovered it when work was being done to make
inkjets better able to get vibrancy out of printing too.
